Birth in Color Midwifery is a practice that goes beyond the care of the mother and baby dyad. It is a practice that sincerely cares about the family as a whole and integrating that into every aspect of care. Relationships truly create a sense of safety, commitment, and respect that should be at the center of your care.

Birth in Color Midwifery does not discriminate nor tolerate it; intentionally serving all that seek an out-of-hospital birth experience no matter what one looks like or identifies as, care needs to transcend past the injustices that we face day in and day out. Birth in Color embraces the uniqueness of what makes up a family unit and in no way can make such judgement.

Birth in Color strives to be a midwifery practice that creates change from simply just doing the right thing. Families want to be heard, educated and validated about what they feel is right for their new baby, pregnancy and birth. It is imperative that the provider’s bias is not felt or forced upon the family, which can unfortunately stifle the organic nature to how their experience could unfold.

Birth in Color grounds itself in fostering choice, community, and collaboration with all parties that the family feels necessary to create a birth experience that they desire.
