Meet Your Diverse Provider
As a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHGRNP-BC), Tasha offers a broad scope of compassionate, evidence-based care focused on reproductive, gynecologic, and perinatal health across the lifespan. Her dual certification allows her to provide midwifery services and advanced women’s health care with a deep commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and clinical excellence.
As a CNM, Tasha is trained to provide comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She supports physiological birth, offers newborn care, and emphasizes education and shared decision-making throughout the journey. She can attend births in various settings—including homes, birth centers, and hospitals—and is skilled in managing both normal and some high-risk pregnancies in collaboration with other providers.
As a WHGRNP-BC, Tasha expands her care beyond pregnancy to include various reproductive and gynecological services. This includes well-woman exams, family planning, fertility support, menstrual health, menopause management, STI testing and treatment, and care for gynecologic concerns across all stages of life. Her board certification ensures she brings a strong clinical foundation, cultural sensitivity, and a patient-centered approach to every interaction.
Together, these credentials equip Tasha to care for the whole person—whether you’re seeking support for birth, preventive care, or ongoing reproductive health needs. Her approach blends medical expertise with respect for each individual’s story, choices, and lived experience.
Real Care with Connection
-
Primary care is your first line of support for everyday health needs. It’s where you come for annual check-ups, screenings, and preventive care, but also for questions about your body, your wellness, and your family’s needs. Think of it as the foundation of your health journey—where we build an ongoing relationship, keep track of your health over time, and make sure you have the resources to feel your best.
-
At Birth in Color Midwifery, primary care is not just about checking boxes—it’s about holding space for you as a whole person. What makes “our primary care” unique is that we:
Take time to listen, not rush. Your concerns are valid, and your voice matters in every decision.
Provide care that is inclusive, affirming, and culturally safe, so every client and family feels seen and respected.
Blend evidence-based medicine with holistic approaches, offering options that fit your values and lifestyle.
Honor the connection between reproductive health, overall wellness, and family life—because they are all woven together.
Our goal is for you to leave each visit not only with answers, but also with confidence, peace of mind, and a clear plan forward.
-
Having a trusted primary care provider means you don’t have to navigate your health alone. Primary care is important because it:
Prevents problems before they start through routine visits, labs, and screenings.
Catches issues early so treatment is easier and more effective.
Supports the whole you—your physical health, mental health, lifestyle, and family dynamics.
Creates continuity so you have someone who knows your story, not just your chart.
Primary care is about building a long-term relationship where your provider really listens and partners with you to meet your goals.

At BICM, preventive care is woven into every visit. We don’t just wait for illness to appear—we partner with you to stay ahead of it. Our team takes time to look at the whole picture: nutrition, lifestyle, stress, family history, and early signs your body may be giving you. We offer functional labs, wellness screenings, and practical strategies that empower you to make daily choices for long-term health. By focusing on prevention, we help you thrive rather than just “get by.”
“I am passionate about midwifery and reproductive health because I believe that everyone deserves dignified, holistic care rooted in trust and respect. It’s about being present, listening deeply, and holding space for every story.”
